One of the most searched for phrases on the Internet…period.

(We Hope You Forget To Cancel On Time!)
Free should be just that, no cost what so ever. (Other than your time and effort of course)
Many times people are easily fooled into purchasing something because of the word free. If you are offered a give-away for a cell phone, but you must purchase the monthly plan, End result: the phone is not free but merely figured into the total cost. If you are offered a cheap or free videogame console only to be forced to buy expensive games, is it really cheap or free? Once again the total cost should be your deciding factor.
Free is a word that lures people into doing without thinking. If you really want a free or bargain item or service, then you must resolve to not give up your power to think. Do not let your emotions take over. Age old advise is READ THE FINE PRINT. In many cases, this is obvious but in ever so many marketing plans, it is merely implied. A very fine example of this is the free trial. Many reputable companies offer totally free trials, but only for a set period.
If the free trial is for thirty days, and you only want the free part, then you would probably want to create a reminder in which you cancel at 27 or 28 days into the trial in order for processing time (busy phone lines, computer site unavailable etc.) to be considered.
Auto opt in plans are an extension of this marketing strategy. When you are offered something for a set period of time, for no charge, it is a common practice to charge the normal price usually per month from that point on, unless you opt out by manually canceling the agreement.
Enjoy what is actually free but be cautious not to be victimized.
Some actually free and useful programs have been added to this site in the form of a scroller with active links. Have at it and enjoy. I hope to add more in the future.
