Ghost Biker

Filed in: Relationships and Dating by L.J. James on 02-07-10

When I received the Novel “Iron Horse Rider” from the Author Adelle “Legs” Laudan I have to admit I was expecting a book about a Biker fighting and causing trouble. You know your Typical Biker Bad Boy Story. What I received was something I was not expecting at all.

The Novel Tells the story of a hardcore biker named Shane, Shane had always kept women at arms length and showed them no emotion, That was until he met Kelly. Try as he might this biker who had always kept to himself could not fight off his feelings for her and soon found himself Married to the Women of his dreams.

After 10 years of Marriage Kelly is taken from Shane in a Tragic accident while they are Ridding. Shane finds everything around him reminds him of Kelly, His home, his shop, even his Clubhouse. His Brother’s try to Support and comfort him, but the looks of sorrow in their eyes for him is more then Shane can bare. He soon realizes staying in the world He has Known and loved is not an option. Soon Shane is on his Iron Horse with the wind in his face and no destination! As Shane rides He finds the pain he feels for his loss begin to lessen!

With advice from a Mysterious Biker he keeps running into, Shane finds himself at a Micmac Indian Camp. Shane is welcomed into the Camp by the Tribes Chief and soon finds himself becoming Friends with the Chief’s Daughter Tia who has recently lost her Husband! While the two Share their pain they soon begin to feel something for each other. Is it possible for either of them to feel love again while still suffering from such a great loss? A member of Tia’s Tribe is taking no chances and tells Shane to stay away from Tia. He soon finds out you never tell a Biker like Shane what to do!

I found the writing in this novel while in no way simplistic was easy to read. I also found the story easy to follow ! Adelle “Legs” Laudan describes and expresses the feelings of Biker Brotherhood perfectly. When She explains Shane’s feelings while Riding you can see in your mind where he is and you can almost feel the wind in your Face!

In life we all have our worlds we live in, When something Terrible happens sometimes We cling to what We know. Shane does what He as a true Biker must after such a terrible loss, He goes out and finds not only a new life but a new World to live in for a while.

I have to say I enjoyed the story. It was not what I was expecting or would usually read but I found I could not put the book down. I think some Men who Ride will enjoy this book, While many I feel will find it a little too much of a Romance novel! I do believe almost all Women who have ever ridden a Motorcycle or dated a Man who rode one will love this Novel.

As I know now Adelle “Legs” Laudan is a writer of Motorcycle Romance Novels, She works to promote the image of Motorcycling one book at a time! To order Iron Horse Rider or other Novels by Adelle “Legs” Laudan including the upcoming Iron Horse Rider 2 go to http://adellelaudan.com/IronHorseRider.html

Leveraging Social Media Portals to Connect People

Filed in: Relationships and Dating by Shawne M. Patrick on 02-04-10

Social media portals have supplied a platform that makes it easy and fun for folks to connect with others who share their interests. A great amount of personal interaction is done online today, and these sorts of websites have helped bring folks closer together in strategies that email and phone calls alone could never do.

Now, with the click of a button, folk can inform large quantities of people about important things that are happening in their lives, for example an engagement or the birth of a baby. Folks also use social marketing sites to let others know about less pressing matters in their lives too like the loss of their cell phone contacts or their menu for the day.

Social networking allows folk to remain in touch with relatives who live in different towns. College students, sibling in different nations and states and family members who are just on vacation for two weeks can all find worth in being a member of different social media portals. Grandparents who can’t visit as frequently can feel instantly nearer to the rest of the family when they view streaming video and pictures of a grandchild’s first celebration thru social media portals. Distant relatives can stay in touch more frequently than they routinely would without the simplicity of being connected in an online network. Folks also use these sites to extend their networks of chums. Increasingly, folks meet and become close to folk with whom they share mutual friends.

See an example on Youtube from Jeff French Columbia SC

While in the real world, they may be reluctant to reach out to these people, the friendly nature of social media makes it quick and easy to become a part of new person’s life and begin to know them thru the things they share thru the site. Social media portals can also play a huge role in helping folks achieve jobs and get cooperative projects done. Brides can right away get input on dresses from members of her marriage party who live in other towns.

Jeff French Columbia SC is one of the founders of Startlike, a new browser start page.

Social media has also, to some level, eliminated the need for set’meeting’ times because each person can add to the conversation at their own speed. High school reunions can be brainstormed all hours of the day and night, as alumni in different towns and states write down their ideas and recommendations when they have free time.

Social network web sites and portal sites, such as Startlike from Jeff French Columbia SC, have quickly changed the way folks communicate with one another and it appears that as new, more categorical types of social media portals are created, online communication will keep growing and expand for the better.

Anger Management For Children

Filed in: Relationships and Dating by Colin Jones on 01-11-10

Anger, which is a perfectly normal emotion, can change into something frightening and ugly. The first thought you may have of anger issues may bring about images of a couple fighting, a parent abusing a child, a teenager lashing out at a teacher or a parent. Rarely will images of angry children come to mind. Unfortunately youths, at very young ages, have to deal with feelings of anger and rage. This is a truth which is often very difficult for adults to understand or deal with.

Children, young children especially, aren’t normally aware of their emotions. When children become upset or mad they just display these emotions through their behaviour. A good example of this might be a little boy in a supermarket who throws a tantrum because he’s upset. Many parents have had to deal with similar situations. It is unfortunate that often these occurrences are overlooked or dismissed because they are “just children”. Anger management in kids is as important, or probably even more important than anger management in adults.

A child needs teaching and guidance from their coming into the world to their entrance into adulthood. The things they learn throughout their young lives are likely to form the person they become as an adult. For this reason, anger management in kids with problems controlling their foul temper is crucial important. Finding ways to teach anger management for kids does present challenges.

There are various programs made specifically for kids with frustration, anxiety and anger management problems. Finding one that works for a particular child might require testing many methods. Not all youths will react to the same treatment for anger management for kids. Because a child cannot always relate their feelings surrounding angry outburst, finding the right way of tackling it could take some time. Until the issue is resolved or at least controlled, it is imperative to continue the search.

Children may respond well to worksheets, games and fun activities. All of these can be used to teach anger management for kids. Developing programs which incorporate each of these methods may be the best route to take. A child completing a worksheet, colouring sheet or participating in games and activities with underlying messages regarding anger management for kids, may not even realize they are working on their anger-related issues.

Making the activity fun doesn’t mean that the anger issue has to be omitted. Choosing fun activities which teach healthy interaction and decision making might be good for anger management for children. Teaching them to take turns and helping them to learn that they can’t always be the best or the winner would definitely make a difference when confrontational situations occur. Small activities which instill values and positive thinking would be beneficial for anger management for kids.

If a kid is old enough to talk about their anger problem, encouraging them to share their emotions is important. Suggesting they talk to someone who they feel comfortable with and trust is a good idea regarding anger management in children. Asking them to write or make a drawing about their emotions may help them reveal their underlying problems, whether it be anxiety, pain or depression.

Teaching them to request help when they feel threatened or angry would certainly help the child with an anger-related problem. The important thing to understand when considering anger management in children are they are just “children”. Their minds are just not equipped to handle adult situations and so they will require a more careful approach.
